MyDriver4U ("we", "us") connects car owners in Bengaluru with verified professional drivers. This policy explains what information the MyDriver4U mobile app collects, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (the password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see it in readable form), and whether you registered as a customer or a driver.
- Booking details: the plan you request (Monthly, Event or Corporate), your phone number, preferred driver language, and any notes you type (for example a pickup area or event details), plus the date and time of the request and its status.
- Driver details: for drivers, your online/offline status, your trips and your approval status. Licence and ID checks are done by our team directly and are not uploaded through the app.
The app does not collect your device location, contacts, photos or microphone data.
2. How we use it
- To create and secure your account.
- To match customers with approved drivers and show the progress of a booking.
- To contact you about a booking, give support and keep the service safe.
3. Who can see your information
- Customers: your booking details (including your name, phone number, language and notes) are visible to MyDriver4U staff and to drivers who have been approved by us. Open requests are visible to approved drivers so that one of them can accept it; once accepted, it is assigned to that driver.
- Drivers: your name and trip history are visible to MyDriver4U staff and to the customer whose booking you accept.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
4. Where your data is stored
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Our Firestore database is hosted in Mumbai, India (asia-south1). Google processes the data on our behalf under its own privacy terms.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and booking history for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for support, safety or legal reasons.
6. Your choices and deleting your data
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account and the data linked to it at any time. Email connect@mydriver4u.com from the email address you registered with, or call +91 95350 31349. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days of verifying your request, except where the law requires us to keep something.
7. Security
Access to data is controlled by account type: customers see only their own bookings, and only drivers approved by our team can see open requests. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Children
MyDriver4U is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
